ARE YOU READY FOR THE SUMMER??? By the sounds of it Young Earth have had their flip-flops on since the middle of April and have just been sat on the side of the road, waiting for a cool surfer-type to pick them up in a colourfully decorated VW camper van to take them down to the beach where they can roast in the sunlight while tapping along to this poppy little gem they’ve gone given the world.
The Irish quartet sound like they’ve had a fair bit of Circa Waves on the stereo and look to be echoing the indie pop sounds of that other foursome’s first few big hitters. This track just feels like a whole bunch of fun – like if you managed to spend a day in a room surrounded only by the most adorable puppies you ever did see and your arms smelt of dog treats. You might get bitten a couple of times but it’ll be WORTH IT for the tickling feeling of their any tongues lapping away at you as they, confused, long for a tasty treat.
Woah oh oh oh oh oh oh, this is just a tad too catchy and might be haunting me as I sleep tonight. Nonetheless, I implore you to fill your boots to the absolute brim with these jaunty sounds. They’re delicious.
