If you’re packing up for a road trip that’s going to see you travel even a fraction of 15 billion miles then you’d probably best pack a few sandwiches. By a few, obviously I mean thousands – plus you’ll have to find a way to make sure that they don’t go off during that journey otherwise they’re definitely going to stink of the car and my guess is that if you’re travelling that far you’re probably not going to be passing a Holiday Inn any time soon.
Oh right, this is a music review… Well it’s safe to say that I got so caught up in the stunning aural world created by Holy Boy in this latest offering that I became even further detached from reality than usual. It’s pretty careless to get lost so far away from home and there are plenty of sounds out here that sound incredibly daunting and menacing, the chances of you getting your head out of this one are slim to none. What you can be thankful for, however, is that there’s a startlingly inspiring voice as the heart of it all and you’ve got a good four minutes of irresistible music to keep you going a little bit longer.
This one is going to take you out further than you’ve ever been before and there’s no saying if you’ll ever come back. It is definitely worth it though, honest.
