LEEDS LEEDS LEEDS! Yet another fuzzed up band coming out of Leeds with more bags full of talent than a dozen mouthy sheep, here’s Party Hardly partying just a tad more than their name might lead you to expect.
Somewhere between a medium-pacer and Jimmy Anderson, this ripper swings as if it were a right overcast day and powers along with such conviction that it’d make the perfect grifter. But there’s no need for any grift here, this is the purest stuff you’ll see this side of the humber (that’s in Leeds, right? I don’t know/care…). ‘Mindchanger‘ is a spot-on name for this kind of treat as it has a slight cavort with the psychedelic before perhaps thinking again and opting to just about stay in the word of non-hallucinogens. The foursome are on peak form here, the likes of which are rarely seen in a year without a World Cup or Olympic Games. It’s set up to be the perfect wet dream without any of the worry that you’ll have to get up early in the morning to change the sheets, again.
Dip your toes in and make sure you put Vanish on those stains because it’s going to take a big ol’ scrub to get over this one.
