Mylets – Trembling Hands

Screen shot 2015-02-06 at 13.58.12The title of this track is a pretty apt one for the feeling you’ll be left with if you’ve accidentally left your speakers on full volume when you welcome Mylets into your home through the aural door. Still, it hits like a massive drill, pounding through the ground at the start of construction on a block of luxury flats. Guess whose office they’re building outside at the moment?

Check out the video below to see how Mylets goes about putting some of his tracks together, accompanied by his trusty loop pedal. Guitars are ferocious as this are a rarity and it really does hit home how powerful they are each and every time they return to create a chorus that’ll rip right through you. The heavier moments are just like listening to Muse back in their prime and, though it often threatens to get considerably darker, it borders just about on the side of something that you can get really into without feeling the need to envelop yourself in a realm of darkness.

This makes for top listening if you really fancy getting your ears blown off. I mean that in a good way, of course.
