Despite having a title that sounds like it could be the next awful piece of Michael Bay-tainted trash to hit our screens, there’s plenty more to this peach of a track from Dreemers than simply ripping the heart out of your favourite teenage cartoon. LEAVE THE TURTLES ALONE YOU MONSTER!!!
Sorry.
Anyway, you can hear calls back to the early years of The Beatles, hidden away behind the distortion and speed of this beauty as it acts as almost a late submissions to the Britpop era, having been held up in a quick chat with surf rock. There’s nothing particularly new about the sounds flying through your ears yet that’s exactly what makes it so brilliant – the band’s awareness for great music that has graced our ears in years gone by means that they’re able to pick and choose the elements that they want in their sound to make sure it hits home as accurately as it possible can.
I’m pretty sure this won’t be the last time I come across Dreemers as they’re making music with an ageless quality that you could play to people of all generations and they’d be able to appreciate it for the brilliant track that it is.
