Though it did take me a few seconds to cotton on to the fact that the noise invading my right ear was a semi-muted clipping of the opening vocal line, I found myself becoming entrenched in this track from Electric Honey from start to finish, thanks in no small part to the infectious, positive vibe that seems to run right through each and every sound.
There are plenty of cute little touches added to what is essentially a very good song which help make it into something a little more special. At the heart of the charm is the approachable lead vocal which seems to be telling tales that all of us are a little too familiar with and it exudes a warmth that many budding young singers are simply unable to capture. The guitars and bass are the essential driving force of the track, peaking as the track mellows out and they’re left to entertain your ears – a task that they’re more than up to.
Though it may not be the warmest weather in London at the moment, if you walk down the street with this in your ears it’ll feel like the sun is shining just for you.
