It’s nice to be able to just put your feet up sometimes and have a nice little think about all the lovely things in this world. Daffodils, lambs that have just learnt to walk, the prospect of a few pints at the end of a long day… When you get these latest sounds from Northern American in your ears it’ll be hard to keep yourself from reminiscing about the finer things in life.
It’s as if it was made for one of those cheesy TV flashback sequences, you can easily imagine a brash American voice talking about how things were so much simpler when he was young. Whilst he may believe this to be true, this song is making me feel like there’s no better time to be alive than the present. It’s having a calm, soothing effect on my usual frantic self and this chilled out nature sees my shoulders drop and my hair grow at almost twice the normal rate. Essentially, it’s the non-cynical version of ‘Sunny Afternoon‘ by The Kinks.
Why worry about the stress of the daily grind? Just stick this track on and the real world will seem a million miles away.
