Palace Winter – New Ghost

Screen Shot 2015-11-03 at 15.46.38As the coldest season approaches we could all do with some kind of grand living quarters, although few of us can reasonably expect to be in anything larger than a box-room in a flat. Still, Palace Winter sounds like a rough approximation of what we’re after here and they’re a proven dab hand at putting together treats for our ears so it could be a whole lot worse.

With this latest offering, out soon on the perfectly named TAMBOURHINOCEROS, they slow the pace right down and allow you to wallow in the depths of your own mind. Whatever treasures might be waiting for you once you close your eyes and jump down inside yourself, there’ll be the guiding hands of the band to see that you come to no harm. They act as the most courteous guides for any situation and there’s no need for even a second of panic when you let these calming sounds take over. You’d be foolish not to follow this lot to the ends of theEarth as they seem to know exactly what’s going on and they’ve got a rather steady head on them.

Oh, and their music is so intoxicating that once you re-open your eyes you’ll be worried that you might have taken in a wee bit too much.
