I’VE GOT AN IDEA! LET’S JUST ABSOLUTELY RAM OUR GUITARS INTO PEOPLE’S EARS SO QUICKLY AND LOUDLY THAT THEY WON’T HAVE TIME TO KNOW WHAT HIT THEM!
This massively uptempo beast from The Pink Teens is essentially the aural version of a sugar rush. It’s fast, it’s hectic and I don’t quite know what’s going on. That may be the copious amounts of fudge that I’m eating as a write this, nevertheless the band are making me feel the urge to get to my feet and type whilst dancing bent over with my headphones on. Tell you what, If someone walked in now this would look pretty fucking weird.
However fast you might think you can take your indie guitars, these guys are probably willing to fight you for their right to play faster! The lo-fi production sounds adds to the garage-made aesthetic that the band are going for and the sheer energy of the song will make you feel like you’re burning calories by the second. This is what punk made possible. There are some cracking harmonies hidden away with the Barry Allen (The Flash? Anyone?) style approach the band have taken to making this track.
