There’s a great old-school feel to tinmouth‘s sound, it feels like something from a bygone pre-digital age. This familiar approach to music-making is a welcome presence between my ears and I’m delighted to be bringing you my favourite track from the album says which drops on 31st March.
Heading up proceedings is a charming, tender lead vocal which feels as approachable as a friend that you’ve known for all your life. Backing it up is a selection of talented musicians, putting their craft to good use as they create a powerful crescendo as the song gets into full flow. There are some lovely little guitar riffs on offer, though the band are careful not to over-do anything and the balance struck between the various sounds works rather well indeed.
