Roll up, roll up! Who wants something new? Oh go on then, get your Monday started off right by getting your first listen to a new sound from London-based singer-songwriter Callum Rafferty. It’s a tip-top, indie-pop outing that’ll get your week kicked off right proper like.
At a depressingly young 17 (I’m over the hill…), Callum has got bags of talent for someone just starting out – though he’s been comfortable with a guitar in his hands for a decade already. It ruddy well shows. This two and a half minute gem is perfect for the burgeoning summer weather as you spend your afternoons sitting drinking in a park with a bunch of great friends. Yes, it’s a cliché but it’s a damn fun thing to do. With uplifting melodies, solid song construction and a general feeling of ‘everything is going to be alright’, this is everything you could ever ask for in indie-pop form.
This lad has a bright future ahead of him. But that’s more than enough from me, tune in below…
