Natalie McCool – Oh Danger

Screen shot 2015-06-19 at 20.27.04Oh look, it’s another track from Natalie McCool. Oh, what a surprise, it’s ruddy marvellous and I can’t seem to keep myself from listening to it even when I’m in the middle of a conversation and it might socially be considered ‘rude’ to do so. Oh look, I’ve already over-done this bit about the title. I’d better move on…

Natalie’s charming voice settles upon a bed of music that manages to retain a wonderfully sparse quality despite packing in all manner of cracking sounds, meaning that whatever overall experience you find yourself having of this track it’s unlikely that the next person thinks exactly the same thing. Yet again the lyrics are exquisitely poetic and it feels almost pointless to sit here fawning over someone whose talent is far greater than I’d ever be able to describe in words. Perhaps they could even add a new word to the dictionary to capture just how perfect Natalie’s music is.

Something like splendifferous, but something different as I’m sure I’ve stolen that from The Simpsons or something… Oh, right, give in to the temptation to listen to this on repeat. You’d be foolish not to.
