Alright, something strange has happened. I’ve actually backed the right horse. Turns out that the ace Coracle is set to release an EP which is being distributed by Universal at the end of July and I’ve been singing his praises for about a year. I don’t actually know how to react in this situation because I never thought I’d see the day. Not that he’s not a very talented man, of course.
In all honesty, this track is a fair bit too pop for my tastes and it doesn’t quite appeal to me as much as some of his other work (yes, I know, I’m turning on him the minute he’s successful…) but actually I could see so many people going out on beaches, roof terraces and wherever else beautiful people go to hang out and have fun while I’m sat here crouched over a laptop. Jen Armstrong’s voice is lovely and it fits perfectly with the stunning soundscapes on offer. Sure, it’s a pop song and I probably won’t be listening to it an awful lot after this BUT it’s a ruddy ace pop song and this guy is definitely getting the attention that he deserves and you should all go out and buy his music because, above anything else, he just seems so nice.
All the best mate, please just buy me several houses when you’re rich and famous. You’re too successful for WCT now though, so go away.
