There are very few musicians I have come across in the last year that have been able to rise up anywhere near the same level as Charlotte Carpenter and she remains to be one of my favourite artists. If you’ve ever heard her sounds it shouldn’t need any explaining but, and I suppose that’s why you’re here, I’ll give it another go…
Whether you’re being drawn on by the rock and roll drenched guitars or by Charlotte’s infectious voice, there’s something within the first 30 seconds that’ll grab your head and shake it about as if to say ‘Wake up! You’re missing something incredible!’ There’s so much energy and determination seeping through in each guitar riff and, backed up by a solid rhythm section, we’re able to indulge in the talents of someone who has the potential to be the voice for a whole new generation of rockstars. Whether it be when she manipulates your ears with a tempo change or the sheer force of the guitars that blow you away, the finished product is absolutely, unmistakably perfect.
No matter who, where or what you are, there’s very little that could do much more for you than these sounds. This is why I love what I do.
Here’s to the next 500.
