Despite the fact that the title of their new song seems to be going against part of the principle set forth by their name, Love Nor Money return to the airwaves with their utterly confusing style of sound. I say confusing only because it’s pretty hard to work out what to call it – the various strands of sound that come together feel like they’ve never been put together in such a way before and the infectious rhythm at the heart of it all is sure to raise an eyebrow or two.
With either a soulful voice or a cracking guitar leading the line atop a breakbeat that will have you gazing back to some of the most unforgettable sounds of your youth. The greatest appeal for this trio of talented ladies is the way they manage to combine these different styles and leave your ears with a finished product that is surprisingly more entertaining than you would ever have guessed if someone had told you exactly what they were doing.
This latest outing isn’t quite as infectious as previous effort ‘Shake Me‘ but there’s not a lot wrong with it. It’s still a right beaut.
