Joy Atlas – Notice It All

Screen Shot 2015-10-18 at 20.37.45An attention to detail is a key thing in any line of work, perhaps none more so than if you’re a musician. Joy Atlas have clearly mastered the craft of planning everything so meticulously that there’s not even so much as a whiff of a hair being even a fraction out of place. They’ve got it all sorted, right down to the most minute detail.

Whether it’s in the co-ordination of harmonies, how the array of electrifying electronic sounds are put together or how the rhythm section sound as though their linked in some form of telepathic manner, everything comes together so perfectly in ‘Notice It All‘ that you’d think this was music that had never seen the sight of human intervention. And yet there’s still that enjoyable character that runs through the charming voice right through to the distinctive pop basslines. It all feels far too real to be a dream and you’re incredibly unlikely to come across something quite as captivating as this in anything of a similar style.

Allow yourself to be overwhelmed by this mystifying pop delight, you’ll regret it if you don’t give it a listen.
