As summer comes to an end and we here in London brace ourselves for another seven months of not seeing the sun we’ll have to find ways to trick ourselves to feel as though the positive vibes are still flowing. So get your sunnies, surf shorts and those weird little ankle socks that no-one should own and prepare yourself for a big summer fake out.
Probably the best thing you can do is stick this belter from L.A. Spring on repeat as there’s enough bassy bounce to make you feel as though spring is once more coming to a close. The guitars sound like that identikit indie sound that gets the hordes up and dancing and the drums have all the vibe of getting out in the carnival spirit. This one isn’t exactly a thinker, in fact it’s the complete opposite – it just makes you want to get up and throw your limbs around without a care in the world. If you’re feeling the urge to just get up and dance at home to this then I don’t blame you, though maybe don’t do it so that the parcel delivery bloke you forgot was coming round catches you dressed like an absolute tit who’s off their face in the middle of the afternoon.
