Hello again Norway, you sly boots. Fancy seeing you here for a countless time – and, oh look, you’ve brought the exquisite Chain Wallet back with you. You shouldn’t have, but obviously I’m incredibly glad you did.
Why? Well, that’ll be because they’re one of my favourite things to come out of Scandinavia since Lego, are you know how much I love Lego (remember that rocketship I spent years on?) It’s great to hear from them again and the fact they’ve got something fresh tagging along is a more than welcome delight. ‘Faded Fight‘ makes plenty of sense to me, it’s the lo-fi experts showing off exactly what they do best with a devil-may-care swagger combining neatly with some pop hooks and a guitar jinglier than my grandmother’s bracelets thrown in for good measure. I’m not too sure whether I should be putting my feet up or having them twisting slightly like one of those dancers from the Homerpalooza episode of The Simpsons. Either way, they’re the perfect house guests and they’re always welcome – I might even give them my spare key.
They do seem to eat most of the biscuits though, and I was saving those hobnobs for that special someone. Oh well, if that’s the worst thing I can say about them…
