Salt – Don’t Look At Me That Way

screen-shot-2016-09-18-at-10-55-34With a song title that I’ve often heard from people in bars, and on buses, and in the stre… Sorry. Here’s a nice bit of raw, guitar-heavy music from Salt for you to indulge in that has a genuinely authentic charm in the way it feels somewhat like a demo while having an awful lot more about it than that tune you and your teenage mates made in your garage that you were sure would make you the next Beatles.

In a song filled with reminiscence and regret the swathes of high-distortion guitars sweep through your mind while the rhythm section rampages on, bringing with it further blasts of emotion that provide a stream of peaks and troughs too daunting for even the most hardened athlete. Everything builds to a satisfying crescendo which sees the voice begin to scream out, riddled with possible guilt and longing for what could have been. It’s so powerful that you’d swear you’ve even seen a few beams of light come bursting out from the screen and dashing across your face.

Get yourself into something a little more rough and ready – you never know, you might just like it.
