Splashh – Waiting A Lifetime

screen-shot-2017-01-20-at-08-29-41How about something so lo-fi that you’ll have to look for it under the table because it just ain’t getting’ no higher? Here’s some garage-style rocking out from Splashh who are set to disrupt the waters of the music scene kind of a like a… What’s the word?

This track has whistling in it, because why the hell not? It feels like there are tinges of that old punk mystique and there’s definitely an allure of homemade genius, bedroom parties and rocking out in front of a crowd of your mates here. There’s surely nothing more satisfying than playing the music you want to and never bending at the knee to corporate regime or public demand – today of all days… Racking up less than three minutes on the clock this feels so rough and ready that you could throw it into a boxing ring and it wouldn’t leave until it had either been knocked out cold or had at least a handful of its opponent’s teeth to take home as a souvenir to remind you of the raw power in its grasp. Nowhere in sight is there any feeling that this is trying to be cool for cools sake, it just screams authenticity and real music made be real music lovers.

It won’t be going down as Calpol or a strawberry milkshake but this is still very much something you should be indulging in and forcing down your own throat at all costs.
