Anti Pony – Pale Blue Hours

img_20170126_043801Swedish duo Anti Pony are gloriously pushing back the ice cold wind, thawing the snow and bringing summer in early. Their brand new track ‘Pale Blue Hours‘ is cosier than your wildest dreams could’ve possibly imagined with Hammond organ pulses transporting you back to the ’60s on a cloud of goosebump inflicting Sanna Colling vocals.

It’s a huge wall of groovy psychedelic-pop with Colling’s dreamy vocals soaring far and wide playing hopscotch on the distorted drum fills. It’s almost Temples-like when Alexander Pierre joins with harmonies over the retro organ drones. It’s as glam as it is vintage, a real pick me up just packed full of wondrous vibes that should technically be part of your five-a-day.

It gets way more exciting when you find out the entirely glorious earworm ‘Pale Blue Hours‘ is part of a bigger picture. Anti Pony have just released their new Alexander EP recorded with producer Max-Måns Wikman who also worked with Dolores Haze, a fantastic Swedish band we featured last year.

If the four minutes you’ve just listened to alone don’t entice you to check the entire EP out then I’m afraid there’s not a lot more music has to offer you. Maybe try Chess or something.

This is a hugely exciting duo on the creative elevator, the sky’s the limit. The lyric “you come and you leave but I want you forever” is so true, I want this track in my wondrous place forever, it’s about as perfect as a first listen gets.
