I’ve heard songs about dreams you might have in California but, before I tuned in to this new Crystal Cities beaut, I’d not thought of the Aussies as the dreamiest of people. Turns out I was miles off – they can drift away into the night time just as well as the rest of us. Who knew?
While the world really is at a point where nobody is too sure who could even possibly begin to save us, it’s great to be able to switch out of reality and delve into something as relaxing as this. The guitars feel like welcome supports as they sparkle at either side, offering you plenty of support and giving your ears a rather pleasant aural massage. The voice never comes across as overbearing, more like a spirit guide or whatever it is those people who like to blind themselves from science and stone-cold facts believe in. With this on you’ll be able to live easily without a care in the world, with a smile on your face and with hope in your heart.
In fact, maybe you should just keep listening to this forever and block out all of the horrible sounds and sights of reality. I’m sure it’ll be fine, just switch this on, turn everything else off and feel a weight lifted off your shoulders. Can’t go wrong, right?
