JUKE LUCID – Parallel Vision

Screen Shot 2017-06-14 at 07.41.14Dreamy soundscapes that have you feeling like you need to be somewhere near a beach and that you’ve not got nearly enough sun cream on are the treat of the day in this debut outing by London pairing JUKE LUCID.

With a name for the project that feels ripped straight from an old N64 bad guy, the feeling you’ll get from tuning in to ‘Parallel Vision‘ is far more relaxed than if you were desperately trying to beat a boss who sort of looks like a tiger. Or maybe a bear. The soothing synths that run throughout keep the track held back from racing away into the sunlight and the restraint shown here should hold these gents in good stead. Lyrically, it’s all stuff you’ve heard before but they do a strong job of throwing together a few addictive riffs that’ll be floating around inside your head for the rest of the day. Damn repetition, so catchy. At times it feels like it’s slightly unpolished and not quite perfected yet but, for a first outing, there’s plenty of promise on show and it’ll be interesting to hear the next one.

Summer’s here, prepare for a bucketload of tunes that just make you want to be outside. This’ll suit a nice long day in the sun juuuuuust right.
