Dem coolest boys in the Plaza are back with another swell piece of music. This lot know exactly when to go big, when to hold back and when to stand around nodding about a job well done. (Clue: The last one is when the song ends, obviously)
Once more being able to bring the noise and the calm intermittently, the Hartlepool quartet like to keep things nice and dreamy and it always sounds as though you’re listening to the tune through some kind of aural dry ice. Those vocals sound so downbeat that you just want to go put your arm around Brad Lennard and tell him that everything is going to be alright. Of course, the song isn’t necessarily about sad times but still it has been a while since I’ve had any human contact so maybe I’m showing off my own insecurities. But I digress, the whole tune is so captivating in the way it throws you from one extreme to the other while constantly reassuring you that you’ve got nothing to worry about and it isn’t worth being worried about what other people think of you or how you act.
It’s over-the-top, luxurious goodness that you’d do well to listen in to.
