Isn’t this the title of a half-decent indie track from a decade or so ago? Never mind, Night Owls have taken the name and gone a very different way with it. Think far more garage-made, scuzzy and full of miserable moaning.
Oh, I do love it by the way. And the words above are exactly why.
It’s tailor-made for something shot in black and white featuring posy, angry young men who are hell bent on changing the world because they know exactly what we all need. Well, for a start, we all need a bit of pounding music like this where the guitars are fuzzed up to oblivion, the drums are on a rampage the likes of which usually end up with a ‘The Hun’ or a ‘The Great’ at the helm and the band feel like they’re on the verge of the apocalypse and shouting at the four horsemen to ‘Come and have a go if you think you’re hard enough’.
Go big or go home they say. This is one that can go big wherever you are, even in the comfort of your own home. Just mind the neighbours.
