Louisa Roach is the voice we all need ringing in our ears. She’s got her head screwed on right, morals in check and is willing to make her case every time she gets a guitar in her hands far more powerfully than any of those whose jobs are supposedly to hold the government to account.
‘Resister‘ is just the latest of an ever-growing string of excellent songs from She Drew The Gun that packs a real punch in terms of both sound as message. This time around it’s all about having that low rumble to back up Roach as she stands upright and centre preaching messages that we can surely all get behind and doing it with such effortless style the perhaps she’ll encourage others to stand up and be counted. Powerful to the last and hopefully with a long-lingering effect, this is more than just a song and it’s something you can’t afford to let pass you by.
Roach is one of a kind, perhaps unfortunately, but the more her message and music gets out the more it can inspire, educate and entertain – Three principles that have sadly fallen by the wayside in recent years.
