Adam Wedd – Fight Fear With Faith

Screen shot 2015-02-19 at 15.31.59There aren’t many (actually, I don’t know if there are any) acoustic musicians who are able to capture my love quite like Adam Wedd can. His voice always seems wrapped so much in emotions that you’d think he had a slanket made out of feelings at home, which is, of course, a ridiculous idea. And yet…

His voice heads to the higher echelons fairly regularly throughout this latest offering as he is one more ably supported by a band of musicians that never seek to steal the show from him, instead opting for the much more pleasant route of offering plenty of musical support as everything from the drums and bass through to the horns plays a part in this song which is a rich tapestry of aural pleasures. There’s a wonderful balance to this whole song and it manages to keep from being repetitive thanks to a range of textural changes, each more perfect than the last.

It’s great to have a new track from Mr Wedd to indulge myself in again, now to spend the next few weeks of walking to work listening to this on repeat.
