Lakeway – Late
Lakeway are a three-piece indie/pop outfit based in Kiev, Ukraine, founded in early 2013. The band are influenced by the Western world, with sensual lyrics and romantic synths, inspired by their love of nature and human feelings.
They released their second EP ‘Heartbeat in March 2015, and have been gaining the recognition they deserve for their indie/pop melodies – make sure you check them out.
Tape Runs Out – Friends
A little closer to home with this five-piece hailing from Cambridge, UK. Formed in mid 2012, the band released their first EP ‘Covered in Tape’ a year later.
They have been described as a varied mix of genres – electro-pop, shoegaze, dreampop etc, but this tune is perfect for the summer (yes, believe it or not it’s now summer…). These guys are perfect for fans of Radiohead, Pink Floyd, The Cure and Animal Collective.
Rags & Ribbons – Rubikon
Rags & Ribbons play melodic rock anthems driven by classically-inspired piano. Progressive and post-rock influences by way of Queen, Muse, MEW and Sigur Ros color their intricate pop songs, expressing desire, yearning, regret and joy like only pop can.
From Portland, OR, their latest EP ‘Magnesium Dreams’, features elaborately structured songs with rich harmonies and dramatic hooks.

‘What We Started’ is the debut single after the rebrand. released in April 2015. Shortly after, the band released their self-titled EP which is now available on iTunes.
The Vagary – Mirage
Indie Rock is clearly on the menu today at Rormix HQ – and here’s another treat for your ears. Amsterdam based four-piece The Vagary have been making waves in The Netherlands over the past few years – and all for good reason.
The band formed in 2011, when the four started exploring a shared obsession with the simplicity of pop and the live energy of raw, stripped-down rock music. They have been described as sitting “somewhere between Bryan Ferry’s 80s synth pop and The Velvet Underground”. See what you think!
Lovely as always!
