Beach Fatigue – Drunken Grrrls

Screen shot 2015-09-07 at 08.54.45Though there may be the slightest chance that I fell in love with this song because the intro reminded me of the Adam West Batman theme, there’s actually plenty of things that Beach Fatigue do to keep me hooked as if I were trapped as a result of one of The Joker’s fiendish schemes.

While I find myself caught up in this over-sized venus fly trap, the surf rock inspired sounds that fill my ears keep me from screaming and the very minor room that my toes have to tap in is being utilised in full. Whether you’re finding yourself getting caught up by the feisty, powerful vocals or perhaps you’re a little more intoxicated by the swathes of guitar sounds that range from old school rockabilly through to ’90s lo-fi grunge sounds or maybe, just maybe, the rhythm section have got you hooked as they smash on through all the walls in their path, dressed as the dynamic duo and arriving just in the nick of time.

Expect to see words like ‘Pow’ and ‘Biff’ appearing in front of your eyes as this bunch of talented folks come to the rescue of your ears. And any other part of you that needs saving, I suppose.
