One man music-making machine The Easies released his debut single last week and it has such a chilled out vibe that I’ve had to drink several cups of coffee to be able to keep myself from lounging back in my chair even as I write about it.
Californian artist Henry Moser has plenty of that essential essence of cool that so many artists seek, using it to full effect with this extremely mellow offering which affords you plenty of time to sit back and contemplate the delectable sounds which lay before you. The ’50s blues style guitar sounds hark back to artists like The Beach Boys while the general approach feels not too far away from some of Kurt Vile’s finest. With a debonair manner to his vocal delivery, this song is sure to become one of those earworms that you turn to in times of peace to ensure that you make the absolute most of your down time. There’s no reason why you wouldn’t want this chilled out feeling flowing through your veins.
If The Easies is driving, I’m more than happy to go to wherever place he’s headed as it’s sure to be a blast.
