Liverpool: I love you. I’ve said that many times before and will continue to do so until the day I die. Why? Well, along with the incredible vibe the city has that’s unlike any other I’ve ever felt that Merseyside highlight has long been the provider of some of the best new music out there and this fresh delight from Paris Youth Foundation is no exception.
Having stumbled across it over on the excellent GetIntoThis while on a post-work Twitter binge my eyes lit up as if there was a tiny arsonist flickering away behind the bridge of my nose. Punchy, exciting guitar stabs and full-frontal rhythm overload fly at you with all the intensity of a parliament of spooked owls while you’re too defenceless to cover your eyes due to the charming distraction of a natural, youthful exuberance. The bass sound is irresistible and it should be obvious that you’re being let into any secrets this bunch might have had lurking in the darkness.
There’s no hiding away that this lot have the potential to go on and do great things so you’d best keep an ear out for every last aural drop of there’s if you don’t want to be left behind.
