Few Bits – Sweet Warrior

Screen Shot 2016-08-30 at 19.28.02Belgium’s Few Bits have just had another scarily addictive tune hit the airwaves and if you’ve spent the last couple of weeks melting into your chair like a brand of overly-sweet ice lolly you’ve found in the bargain bin at Aldi then this should help chill you out even further. Who knows, you might even become some sort of human/armchair hybrid – I’m not a scientist, clearly.

As your brand new leather-filled mind takes the odd twist and turn down the aural canals it doesn’t really ever seem to become clear what kind of journey you’re on. Of course, there’s only so much you can do with an indie-pop sound without straying into dangerously unchartered grounds but this bunch seem to be a dab hand at mastering their domain.

There are some delicate dissonances that’ll really perk up the ears and maybe tip you off as to where this beauty it set to conclude. Karolien Van Reensbeck’s delightful tones are ultimately what keep this all together when it seems as though you could be losing your mind and as the band disappear off into the distance you’ll feel as though you’ve been on a trip that’ll linger long in the memory.

Still, think it was a bit rude of you not to tip them – it’s just common courtesy.
