I’ve rambled on before about the stunningly soulful sounds of Peluché and I’m about to do so again because I’ve slipped into ‘Swim‘ (their latest gem) more easily than the big, blue onesie I’m currently wrapped up in. No, seriously – it’s probably a sign that the last 24 hours have been a bit of a personal write-off.
But who cares about wasting time when you do it with such delights flooding your ears. The trio have one more shown that they’re able to create a soundscape that’ll pull you in faster than one of those big spiders outside my front door wrap up their prey and do a little dance of glee around them. Honestly, I don’t know when I last heard something that went down this smoothly – it’s the aural equivalent of the first pint of Guinness after a particularly taxing day. Now THAT is smoooooooth as can be. Sounds like this are utterly irresistible to me and sadly don’t seem to quite get the love from the wider world that they deserve.
Just take a few minutes out of your day to give this one a chance, I sincerely believe this is one of the best and most innovative bands out there at the minute and would love to see them getting heard more and more until they EXPLODE.
