Glasgow garage-rockers The Van T’s return for winter in style with pummeling new single Fun Garçon. A track oozing a playfully dark, reverb-drenched, utterly relentless attitude.
It’s a sugar-coated snarl mind, even playful at times, not all growl, but certainly not smiling from cheek to cheek either.
It’s a track with a fast-developing, no thrills rhythm you learn to love pretty early on. Think early Ravonettes teamed with a frenzied, Bros-esque Wolf Alice, tasty huh.
This is our first taster of Van T’s life after last year’s Laguna Babe EP and it’s damn addictive. Those Thompson Twin harmonies would be force fed to your greatest villain and served up on a gold platter to your childhood sweetheart simultanously.
2016 can certainly be marked as a successful year for The Van T’s but with the relentless energy and songwriting prowess showcased on Fun Garçon, 2017 looks set to be even further off the scale.
