While it may be December and ruddy freezing outside you might be able to save a bob or two on your heating bill by letting The Night Café in as the Liverpudlian indie bandits let loose an upbeat corker that kicks out more rays than a dodgy pub in Toxteth.
Pulsing bass notes combine with an open drumming sound and smatterings of light-as-a-feather guitar riffs through the verses before they combine forces for a powerful, anthem chorus. At the heart of it all is a voice filled with optimism yet feels though it has already gone through some of the world’s most identifiable experiences. At times the track can sound a tad cliché but there’s a reason for that – this sort of thing is always worth a good listen and there are plenty of people out there who would fall in love with this beaut if they give it the chance.
Yet another scouse indie band who are making top-notch sounds? Must be something in the water up there, I might see if I can get it transported down London way…
