Nothing can cheer you up at the end of a long, tiring day like the news that a band you adore with a Miss Piggy to Kermit vibe have got a new album coming out soon. While I wait impatiently for Happyness to whack that album in my ears so ferociously I’ll need new ear drums I’ve been rinsing their most recent single so thoroughly there’s not a drop of shampoo in sight.
It’s a bold move to have a two-minute intro to a track yet when it hits the sweet spot as perfectly as this does you’ll be wishing they’d doubled that big dollop of intro goodness. The rest of the track is obviously sublime as well. You shouldn’t need me to tell you this, these guys are so special that even the Milk Tray Man has to bow down to them, they’re probably even a big enough deal to get a derisory tweet from a certain American windbag if they were to speak out about how much of a rotter he is. Yes, rotter. What a word that is, right?
Anyway, lovely to know there’s more on the way soon – in the meantime just keep listening to this gem. And watching the video, if you’re into using your eyes for things that aren’t as pointless as these 220 words.
