I could go giving you some cliché spiel about turning things up to 11 but, to be perfectly honest with you, it’s probably best to pop this beast from BAIT on at around a 3 because it’s going to feel like you’ve already doubled up on speaker power.
Raging on through like an unstoppable machine, this latest release via the ace Cool Things Records (aka the record label of WCT faves Asylums) is full of so much anger that it could make a better film than Jack Nicholson. While I wouldn’t advise trying to push an actual elephant – it’ll either attack you or you’ll end up covered in something horrible – the motto works perfectly for the lads here as they fight on with a tenacity that might just be enough to give on of the wise, never-forgetting creatures a run for their money. Of course, why you would actually want to get into it with a big ol’ beast like that is totally beyond me but it does seem as though this bunch have got their heads screwed on in a way unlike any other human before them.
And there’s nowt wrong with that – it just means they know how to get the very most out of their sound and they deliver here might finely.
