As bewitching as a brew filled with more newt eyes that the latest series of Planet Earth, Me Not You have some new sounds for you to get entranced by as they cast such a wicked spell over you that you’ll be sure to fall hopelessly in love with them and there’s not a darn thing you can do about it.
With as much swagger as Ian Brown on a crowded street this one strolls right in without even having the courtesy to ring the doorbell before turning your place into a lo-fi music den. There are more similarities to Black Honey than it would be worth mentioning, they seem to be cut from – at the very least – a cloth manufactured in the same factory as Izzy Bee and her gents. It’s nice and grunge with a voice leading the line that’ll cut through your speakers as if they were made of butter and reach right out and grab you as firmly as a certain man in a dangerously high position would.
You’ll not really get that relief of innocence you’re looking for in this one but it’ll make you feel damn good and you can be right proud to be listening to one of the coolest bands around.
