Little Rêd – Hell

Screen Shot 2017-03-29 at 20.11.58With a voice that feels like it comes straight out of an impressionist painting, Bath-based Little Rêd is about to wow you with one of the least-annoying pop songs you’re going to hear this year. Yes it’s pop, but it’s also so much more than that – it’s actually good music that seems to be brimming with meaning. Plus there’s some insanely smooth guitar in this which has had me hooked.

It’s so many steps ahead than your average singer-songwriter, the Cardiff-born genius at the helm of all this has clearly got her head screwed on right and every last droplet of this comes into the ether as if it has already been fully formulated for a lifetime. She’s wise well beyond her years and this tune is so captivating that it’ll be sure to turn heads across the musical spectrum. It has everything that mainstream pop lovers want when they need a weepy night in, it has the warm production that audio nerds will welcome and for your run-of-the-mill music obsessive like myself it quite simply has all that I want to hear right now.

Don’t be put off by the word pop – some of the greatest musicians of all time were making pop music. She might not be there yet but it sounds as though Little Rêd is on the right track. No, I’m not just saying this because she has a funny accent on her name as well…
