Thinking caps on, Vilde is one of those songwriters who is expert at layering things so beautifully that there are sure to be more hidden gems to find in this single song than in the world famous ‘Find The Hidden Gems: Volume 4’ that I believe was last year’s best selling book in the world.
The calming sensation of ‘Just Visiting‘ is exactly the kind of guest who, immediately after they’ve left, you’ve commented to your significant other that you should have them over for dinner one night or perhaps even plan a long weekend away with. Australian-born, Stockholm-based, alt-pop artist Thomas Savage (thank you press release…) has a real knack for creating the most elegant sounds and he may just have found his absolute peak with this delectable, glowing delight. Sophistication really is the name of the game here as cheap rounds of applause aren’t sought after at all, rather the feeling that comes from finishing a book you simply haven’t been able to put down or a film that isn’t just another run-of-the-mill, over-familiar tale.
This is something very special indeed, a exquisitely woven aural tapestry that appears to have almost turned me scholarly. It’s right good.
