Is it worth trying to write this whole thing without any vowels in honour of bdrmm‘s preferred naming format? Prbbly nt. But anyway, we’ll keep gazing on as the Hull-based dreamers slack off and somehow create gorgeous soundscapes while seemingly just doing whatever they want.
This swirling dream world settles in like fog that’s escaped from the Tyne and located itself solely around your brain so that you can see nothing but sonic waves. Playing a stellar game of Softly, Softly, Catchy Monkey (anyone else? No? Just me then…), the band seem like they don’t need to do much to have you sat there with your mouth agape giving those around you a peek at what exactly was in that wrap you had for your lunch. This isn’t exactly your typical love song, but there’s no hiding that the words come from a place of real emotion and perhaps it’s the power of the vocals that really ramp this up into the atmosphere.
