I’m going to be honest with you, I have no idea what the word vainglorious means. I’m also not the kind of person to take two seconds to Google during one of these things, BUT I do know that I like this Motorists song. And really, isn’t that all that matters?
This colourful rambler is made for long road trips and poking your head out the window, hopefully to bathe in the sunshine and not to accidentally end up banging it on a streetlight. It’s handy to have what I assume are car enthusiasts (with a name like that, right?) in the driving seat as they span vast landscapes with melodic guitar riffs and a voice that sounds like the perfect guide for trips through the desert.
There are all the right bits in this to make it truly appealing, and the kind of throwback style song with a touch of modern sensibilities that frankly is just so in these days.
