Van Susans – Lipstick Teeth

Screen shot 2015-08-04 at 10.25.59The rocked-up equivalent of Bellowhead have once more graced my ears this week as the excellent Van Susans release yet another catchy tune, this time in the form of the irresistibly lively ‘Lipstick Teeth‘. Filled with the same delightful charm as always, the band will once more be filling dancefloors in indie venues and farmyard barns alike with crowds keen to indulge in this upbeat musical bliss.

Once more led by a lead vocal which could be singing the most mundane of things and yet still be enthralling, the band fill every last space in your mind with a full-frontal approach to their music which leaves nothing to the imagination. And why would you want to rely on your imagination when what lies in front of you is quite as wonderful as this? From the pounding snare drum through to the expert violin everything comes together as perfectly as a recipe that you’ve been practicing for years on end.

There’s very little, if anything, wrong with this track at all and the sheer energy it exudes is sure to brighten up your day.
