The dulcet tones of Willie J Healey return to these here pages as he aims to follow up the excellent ‘HD Malibu‘. These new sounds have all the same charm of its predecessor with a fair bit more added bite thrown in for good measure to get your toes tapping.
Once more the lyrics that Healey provides us with conjure up all sorts of peculiar imagery while keep both feet planted firmly in reality. The message is a timeless one and the guitar sounds aren’t anything new yet there’s still no reason whatsoever not to listen to this song as it’s sure to put a skip in your step, a smile on your face and it might even give you a hug if you play nice. There’s never a sense of any of the sounds tiring despite the drums ticking along all the way through as if they were a very expensive metronome. Everything feels so familiar that it’s easy for any music-lover to dip into Mr Healey’s sounds and find something that they’re keen on.
As he keeps asking that eternal question that us beta males have been pondering for decades, you might as well tap your feet along and bask in the moment.
