Gaffa Tape Sandy – Water Bottle

Screen Shot 2017-09-09 at 10.33.39Having seen Gaffa Tape Sandy for the first time this week when they were supporting sweet, sweet Jamie Glass & Get Inuit, I can tell you one thing for sure. You’ve not listened to this band enough, even if you’ve had them on repeat every day since they first released any form of recorded music.

Rapid-fire recent single ‘Water Bottle‘ was a real highlight of their impressive high energy set that saw them channelling everything from The Pixies to Oh Sees, even to The Subways (in a good way, honest) at times, and nailing it every damn time. The sheer ferocity of the whole thing is admirable yet what really holds it together is the fact that the trio have a chemistry that even stadium-filling acts would envy, if they knew what was good for them. From Kim Jarvis’s gritty, rage-fuelled voice through Catherine Lindley-Neilson’s rumbling basslines into the absolutely whopping great drums from Robin Francis, every last thing that the band have to offer is sheer aural pleasure. In their latest single they wrap up all this rage into less than 90 seconds – obviously leaving you wanting more despite the fact you know full well you’ve not been short changed.

More of this, so much more of this. SO MUCH MORE.
